Fundraisers
Box tops for Education- cut out the $.10 box top labels of participating products and return them to school.
Labels for Education – cut of Labels for Education UPC labels and return them to school. All points will help the school purchase recess equipments.
Coke Rewards Points- Go to www.mycokerewards.com enter the coke family codes and donate your points to Braly all year round.
Walk-a-Thon – Students walk to promote fitness as well as raise money for the school in the fall.
Comedy Sport Night - A fun night of comedy for the whole family.
eScrip Online Mall- Go to www.eScrip.com register and sign up for Braly to shop at various retail stores. 2-6% of your purchases will go back to Braly all year around. You can also register your Lucky reward card and 3% of your perchases goes to Braly.
Dining Out Nights – Various restaurant fundraisers are planned throughout the school year.
Amazon Smiles- Go to www.amazon.smile.com register for Braly and .5% of your purchases goes back to Braly all year around
Book Fair – Students and parents purchase Scholastic books. Proceeds from the sales go towards acquiring new books for the classrooms and library.
Grants
T.E.A.M. Program (Technology, Engineering, Art & Music) - Braly offers a unique program for TK-5th grade funded by the PTA and the school. In this class students will receive lessons around technology, engineering, art and music. Each class participates in a bi-weekly 45-minute session. Ms. Psycharis will be teaching the T.E.A.M. program this year.
Classroom Activity Fund – This fund is allocated to each classroom to help cover expenses for special in class activities, classroom supplies, field trip and etc.
Field Trip Bus Fund- This fund is allocated to pay bus fee for the field trips.
Donation to 6th District Charity – Each year, the district PTA asks each member school PTA to contribute to a charity.
Recess Equipment - PTA purchases all outdoor equipment like balls, goals, jump ropes, hula hoops, etc.
Project Cornerstone- This fund is allocated to Project Cornerstone activities and materials.
Programs
Administrative Tasks – Volunteers photocopy, collate and prepare materials for teachers, including Red folder preparation.
Assemblies – PTA provides two to four assemblies a year (to be determined)
Book Gifting – All students get to keep a book of their choice during read across America. Books are provided by the PTA.
Halloween Happening – Volunteers run games and activities including a costume contest.
Kinder Meet and Greet Breakfast – PTA provides continental breakfast for kindergarten parents during kinder orientation on the first day of school.
Popsicle and Popcorn Sales – Popsicles are sold after school once a week during warmer months and Popcorn during winter months.
Red Ribbon Week – Students join together to say “NO” to drugs in this nationwide school event. This week -long program is filled with anti-drug activities and education for grades 3-5. K-2 will learn about healthy choices.
Social Nights – PTA will host at least 3 social nights to bring the families together. The past social nights have been- Ice Cream Social, Arts and Games, Movie Night, Bingo Night, Cultural Night, International Night, and Star Gazing Night.
Student Council – The PTA partners with the Student Council to bridge the Student community and the PTA.
Teacher Appreciation Week – The PTA organizes this week devoted to thanking our hard-working teachers for their excellent work.
Teacher Welcome Back Luncheon – The PTA hosts a welcome back lunch in August for our dedicated staff.
T-shirt sales – The PTA orders and sells t-shirts to promote school spirit.
Walk to School Day – The PTA runs this nationwide school event to encourage students to walk to school. Drinks and other goodies are handed out to students who walk to school.
Year End Picnic/Ice Cream Social – End of year social event.
Yearbook – Volunteers take pictures and prepare pages for the yearbook. A vendor to print the yearbook will be selected by the yearbook chairperson.
