Grants

 

• Classroom Activity Fund

  • This fund is allocated to each classroom teacher to help cover expenses for special in class activities, classroom supplies, field trips, etc.

• Field Trip Bus Fund

  •  This fund is allocated to pay bus fee for the field trips.

• Donation to 6th District Charity

  •  Each year, the district PTA asks each member school PTA to contribute to a charity.

• Project Cornerstone

  • This find is allocated to provide Project Cornerstone activities and materials.

 

Programs & Volunteer Opportunities

 

• Administrative Tasks

  •  Volunteers photocopy, collate and prepare materials for teachers, including Friday folder preparations.

• Assemblies

  • PTA provides two to four assemblies a year.

• Book Gifting

  •  All students get to keep a book of their choice during Read Across America. 

• Braly Spirit Wear

  •  The PTA orders and sales various items to promote school spirit. Visit the store here (Coming SOON)

• Fall Festival

  • Volunteers run games and activities including a costume contest.

• TK/Kinder Meet and Greet Breakfast

  • PTA provides continental breakfast for TK & Kindergarten parents during orientation on the first day of school.

• Popsicle & Popcorn Sales

  •  Popsicles are sold after school once a week during warmer months and popcorn during winter months.

• Red Ribbon Week

  •  Students join together to say “NO” to drugs in the nationwide school event.  This week long program is filled with anti-drug activities and education for grades 3-5.  TK-2 will learn about healthy choices.

• Social Nights

  • PTA will host at least 2 social nights to bring the Braly Community together.  The past social nights have included: Ice Cream Social, Arts & Games, Movie Night, Bingo Night, Cultural Night, and International Night as examples.

• Student Council

  • The PTA partners with the Student Council to bridge the community and the PTA.

• Teacher Appreciation Week

  •  The PTA organizes National Teacher Appreciation Week to thank and support our hardworking teachers & staff for their excellence.

• Teacher Welcome Back Luncheon

  • The PTA hosts a welcome back lunch in August to kick off the year for our dedicated staff.

• Walk to School Day

  • The PTA runs this nationwide school event to encourage students to walk to school.  Goodies are handed out to students who participate in the event.

• Year End Picnic

  •  Social to celebrate the end of the school year with the Braly Community.

• Yearbook

  •  Volunteers take pictures and prepare pages for the yearbook.  A vendor prints the yearbook and is selected by the yearbook chairperson.
